Whipped Honey Goat Cheese Dip with Balsamic Fruit is a quick and easy appetizer ready in just 10 minutes that is perfect for an elegant party with only 5 ingredients.
Whipped Honey Goat Cheese Dip with Balsamic Fruit
Honey goat cheese is one of my all-time favorite foods. It pairs with fresh fruit beautifully and is the perfect compliment to just about any salad in my opinion. From a Grilled Peach Salad to a Strawberry & Goat Cheese Quesadilla, it is all drool-worthy. This Whipped Honey Goat cheese Dip with Balsamic Fruit is no exception. If you are looking for the perfect summer appetizer or snack to bring to someone’s house or serve at an elegant party, this easy recipe has got you covered!
Not only does it taste amazing, it looks quite impressive as well. The best part of all is that it is actually crazy easy to make and only takes 10 minutes and 5 ingredients! Simply toss the cream cheese, goat cheese and honey in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. I could personally eat just straight goat cheese with fruit, but if you are serving this to guests that might be a bit too strong. Cutting the goat cheese with cream cheese lightens the flavors and makes it much more of a crowd-pleaser.
While that is blending, chop up some of your favorite fresh fruit. I used fresh Elberta peaches and juicy strawberries. Mangos, blueberries and blackberries would all be great additions as well. Whatever is in season and sweet is your best bet!
Spread the creamy goat cheese mixture into a shallow bowl or plate and top with your chopped fresh fruit. Drizzle the fruit with a balsamic reduction. You can stink up your house and make the balsamic reduction from scratch, or you can be lazy like myself and grab a bottle of balsamic glaze at the grocery store. It tastes just as good and is soooo much easier!
Just a few easy steps and you are ready to serve this easy appetizer! I love a good crostini, which is sliced french bread toasted in the oven with olive oil to pair with this dip, but a loaf of fresh bread or crackers would be great as well if you are looking for a no-bake option. This is one summer appetizer you have got to try!
