Grilled Pineapple & Guacamole Turkey Burger
Pineapple is one of my favorite things to pair with a savory dish. Grilled or roasted pineapple, which brings out the sweetness, is exceptionally good in my opinion. From Bacon Wrapped Pineapple to Roasted Pineapple & Ham Quinoa Salad, there are so many ways to enjoy this amazing fruit besides just the classic Hawaiian Pizza. These Grilled Pineapple & Guacamole Turkey Burgers are no exception. They have been on repeat on my weekday menu because it is just so easy and good. The combination of a zesty guacamole and sweet pineapple on a juicy turkey burger is out of this world!
For those of you who love a spicy dish like myself, the addition of crunchy jalapeños is a fantastic addition on top of the creamy guacamole. For those who are less brave like my husband, you can simply leave them off. The pepper jack cheese alone will be more than enough kick for those individuals.
Now let’s talk turkey. Pun intended of course. 😉 You could be ambitious and make your own homemade turkey burgers by hand which are sure to taste great. If you are lazy like myself and want a quick and easy dinner on the table in minutes, these frozen Jennie-O 1/3 lb. Seasoned Turkey Burgers are where it’s at! They have such a great smokey flavor that pairs beautifully with the sweet pineapple and zesty guacamole in these Grilled Pineapple & Guacamole Turkey Burgers. They also stay nice and juicy with a great 90/10 mix of fat while still remaining a healthy dinner option.
These Lean Seasoned Turkey Burgers from Jennie-O are also great if you are looking for something fresh that will take even less time to cook! If you are wanting something even leaner, these All White Meat Turkey Burgers are another great option. Whichever way you go, they will be great paired with the juicy pineapple and guacamole!
I like to keep a box of the frozen burgers in the deep-freezer and when I need a last-minute meal for the guys in the field I’ve got something quick and delicious on hand. I can pop a couple burgers on the grill or in a skillet and they are happy campers. I just made a couple of these turkey burgers last night for my husband with some simple fixins of ketchup, cheese and pickles and he was impressed. The first time he had them, he was admittedly hesitant about eating turkey burgers, because he is your typical farm boy after all, but after enjoying the burgers he commented on the great flavor they had!
